Brazos County uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) to create and manage digital maps of County features. These maps include roads, bridges, and location data that help calculate length, surface type, and value.
GPS monuments are permanent ground markers with precisely measured coordinates. Surveyors use them as reference points for mapping, construction, and floodplain planning. Brazos County has placed these markers throughout the County.
