The Brazos County Public Defender’s Office is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals who are unable to afford an attorney by providing exceptional legal representation to those who have been accused of crimes in Brazos County.

Little Known Fact: The Brazos County Public Defender’s Office began accepting Misdemeanor cases on March 17, 2023.
The Public Defender’s Office currently employs:
- Four attorneys with a combined 30 years of experience in criminal law
- An investigator with over 25 years of experience working with law enforcement and investigative practices
- One case worker with 30 years of experience in local and state social services

If you have questions regarding court appointed attorneys, you will need to contact the court handling your case. While you can request that the Public Defender’s Office handle your case, it does not guarantee that our office will be appointed.
Since we are strictly a criminal defense firm, we cannot represent clients in the following types of cases:

- Civil (Suits, Probate, Estate Planning)
