Constable: Precinct 1

Following his retirement from the Bryan Police Department in 2003, Jeff served for seven years as a Criminal Investigator with the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Brazos County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office as Chief Deputy in 2011. In 2012, following the tragic line-of-duty death of Constable Brian Bachmann, Jeff was appointed Constable for Precinct 1, where he continues to serve the citizens of Brazos County.

Although Jeff was born in neighboring Grimes County, his roots in the Brazos Valley run deep. He spent much of his youth helping on his family’s dairy farm, where he learned the importance of hard work, responsibility, and serving others. Those values have remained the foundation of both his personal life and law enforcement career. After spending virtually his entire adult life living and working in Brazos County, he proudly considers the Brazos Valley home.

Jeff is actively involved in professional and community organizations, serving as Vice President of the Central Texas Justices of the Peace and Constables Association, a board member of the Wellborn Community Center and Brazos County Specialty Court, and co-founder of the Brazos County First Responders Association. He is also a graduate of FBI leadership training and Constable Leadership College, teaches Civil Process through the TEEX Police Academy, and regularly speaks to Texas A&M University student organizations on law enforcement and public safety.
