Constable Donald Lampo
Donald Lampo is a lifelong resident of Bryan, Texas, with a deep-rooted commitment to serving his local community, and has served the citizens of Precinct 2 as their elected Constable since 2003. A proud member of the Texas A&M University Class of 1972, Donald ran and successfully operated his own business for many years. His dedication to public safety began decades ago, and he has proudly served as a volunteer firefighter since 1985.

In 2000, Donald transitioned his leadership and passion for service into a county office when he was elected Constable for Precinct 3. Following county redistricting, he ran for the Precinct 2 Constable seat in 2002. He won the election and has continuously served the citizens of Precinct 2 as their elected Constable ever since, bringing decades of dedicated experience and steady leadership to the role.
Beyond his public service, Donald is a devoted family man. He is married to his wife, Shirley, and together they have raised two children and are the proud grandparents of three grandchildren.
In Texas, constables and their deputies are fully empowered peace officers with county-wide jurisdiction and thus, may legally exercise their authority in any precinct within their county.
Constables work directly with the Justice of the Peace, serving civil and criminal process as well as bailiff duties. Deputies may serve civil process in any precinct in their county and any contiguous county and can serve warrants anywhere in the state.
Constable’s may also assist the county and district courts. In addition, they may perform patrol functions and make criminal investigations. They are involved in the overall effort to reduce the effects of crime in their communities, including in some cases the operation of truancy programs.
