What We Do
The Brazos County Road and Bridge Department is responsible for a wide variety of planning, development, and public works initiatives, including:
- Acquiring right-of-way for public works projects.
- Constructing new roads and bridges.
- Maintaining a total of 479 miles of road and 70 different bridge class structures.
- Reviewing County subdivision plat submissions.
- Maintaining road signs and setting speed limits.
- Managing right-of-way drainage.
- Issuing permits for residential and commercial construction.
- Planning area transportation.
- Providing maps for public and internal use.
